The Haldi ceremony is a joyous pre-wedding ritual in Indian weddings where a paste of turmeric, sandalwood, and oil/milk is applied to the bride and groom. Traditionally held at their respective homes, this colorful event symbolizes purification, protection from evil spirits, and blessings for a happy, prosperous married life. Our Haldi will take place at Kaustubh's family home and we will be partaking in this tradition together with family and friends applying turmeric to each of us. A traditional vegetarian Indian meal will be served. For more information about the Haldi ceremony see here: https://wezoree.com/inspiration/haldi-the-vibrant-tradition-that-blesses-indian-weddings/
