Jordyn and I had both come out of a long season of singleness and I had shared with a friend and coworker that I felt ready to meet someone, but hadn't the slightest idea where to find a quality man. She had just happened to meet Jordyn, her friends' little brother, at a volleyball tournament a couple of weekends before. She said "He's really cute! I was wondering all weekend how he didn't have a girlfriend!" I tried to tell her I wasn't going on a date with a guy she didn't actually know. Well, a few days went by, and she shared with me that she indeed did send Jordyn my number, and I didn't have to meet with him if I didn't want to, but she couldn't explain why she felt this strong conviction to set us up. We both prayed about it, and the next day, I received a text from Jordyn. We texted a little bit, and then he very intentionally asked me on a (sorta blind) date. I was so nervous that I almost didn't go, and he almost didn't go either because he wasn't sure I was even interested! Well, praise the Lord for His hand in all of that and for giving us the courage to show up and meet a stranger because the rest is history! Our love is something we both prayed for for so long, and has been such an answered prayer. We are so grateful to God for bringing us together and can't wait be married. ♡
