“We’re getting married!”

Deric and I have known each other most of our lives. Our Fathers worked together for many years and our Mothers were apart of a community club together. He was a boy scout and I was a girl scout through PBC. So I guess its safe to say we have known each other a lifetime. Fast forward to January 11, 2009 when i saw him pumping gas at Salem Brothers. He walked out store past me and I told my mom and aunt “hmm Deric has glowed up”! I later made the first move to inbox him ( still have all the messages🤣)! We started messaging and later exchanged numbers. He had to call his cousin (Veronica) to ask questions about me. I guess I passed the test LOL. So, after a few conversations and chills we decided to make it official (we moved fast🤦🏽‍♀️)! Deric and I would stay up late like high schoolers. On to the proposal... Valentine 2019 Deric asked me was I coming straight home (this was odd), I said yes. He called through the day like normal but, he asked again “are you coming straight home”. At this point I had an attitude. So i asked “why do you keep asking me that, whats up? " So as the day went on my attitude got worse LOL! I put him under pressure as to what are you up to. He was SICK of me. He said he had something for me but my attitude ruins everything. I kinda forced him to give in. He had to ask me over FACETIME🤣! The ring was UGLY! I was like is this a joke. So we avoided each other the rest of the day! When I got home from work my parents were there and there was Deric. I didn’t know what to say because I may had hurt his feelings. He then gave me a box with a Hersey Kisses In it. I'm like boy stop playing. And in his pocket was the gift he had been waiting give. He then asked and i said YES!!! We had our ups and downs, break ups to make ups BUT, here we are 10 years later preparing to become one. So thank you all for being a part of the Thweatt experience! #0404#tissosweettobeathweatt
