Officiant
The couple's pastor, Rev. Dr. Chris Heckert, will be their officiant! He loves to play guitar (ask him how many he has!), he's a huge nerd, and he's also a friend of the bride. He created the podcast "Love, the Goal" and co-authored the book "Calling on Fire." The couple appreciate his humor, knowledge, inclusive theology, and emphasis on our calling to be the church in a hurting world.
Thomasina Cruz
Bridesmaid
The bride's cousin Thomasina will be a Bridesmaid, running point on the bachelorette. The bride and Tammy have been besties for life, bonding over a love of fantasy books/movies, the band Enter the Haggis, and so much more. Fun fact: Thomasina gave Sophia her first boxed set of The Chronicles of Narnia!
Matt Dudek
Best Man
Despite going to the same college, Conor and Matt have only been friends for 11 years truly developing their friendship after college. Whether it's discussing the geopolitics of the world, the newest technological innovations, or their favorite board games, they can go on for hours (and do). Fun fact: Matt has been married to his college sweetheart Caitlin since 2017 when Conor was in their wedding.
Johna Lozada
Bridesmaid
The bride's cousin Johna will be a Bridesmaid, running point on the bridal shower. Always close, the bride and Johna love going on adventures whether it's a girls' shopping trip or a visit to the sunflower orchard with Johna's three boys. Over the years, they've bonded over sleepovers, career discussions, shopping, and more! Fun fact: Johna and Sophia used to go ballroom dancing on Sunday nights!
Brandon Olshvang
Groomsman
Brandon and Conor have been friends for...a long time. The exact timeframe is debated between them but at some point between 2003-2007 they became friends through Ian. Through a period of hooliganism, Brandon and Conor developed a bond forged in fire. Their shared love of sports, SpongeBob, and Shippuden has kept them friends through the years. Fun Fact: Brandon will also be getting married in 2026 in Italy to his fiancé, Camilla.
MaryLynn Huston
Bridesmaid
The bride's cousin MaryLynn will be a bridesmaid. The two have spent years bonding over music, Disney, and more! Some of the bride's favorite Missy memories include traversing EPCOT on a mission to eat and drink around the world! Fun fact: MaryLynn is a veteran of the Army National Guard! We are so proud of her!
Ian Cunningham
Groomsman
Ian and Conor have been friends since they talked about the show/card game Yu-Gi-Oh in the second grade. Their interests continued to grow intertwined into Beyblades, fencing, video games, and more. Fun Fact: Ian followed his dream of becoming an artist and is a professional photographer in NYC.
Keira McDonough
Bridesmaid
The groom's sister Keira will be a Bridesmaid. The bride is so excited to have Keira as a sister! They have bonded over a love of dogs and pure joy of mother-daughter best-friendships. Fun fact: Keira has an adorable dog named Rudy!
Ajax McDonough
Best Boy
The couple's fur-son, Jax, will be the Best Boy at the ceremony! He works very hard every day snuggling with Mom, protecting the house, and being his Dad's bestest friend. He is so excited that his humans are getting married, and the couple couldn't imagine this momentous day without him! However, he is not thrilled with the Bride's rule that every groomsman will need to have a bath before the wedding. (Due to his allergies, he can only accept marshmallows as tokens of appreciation.)
Mommom
Flower Mommom
The bride's Mommom will be our Flower Mommom! She was also the bride's mom's Maid of Honor. Mommom is the matriarch of the Speakman family, and we are SO happy to have her as part of our ceremony!
Uncle Ricky
Ceremony Performer
The bride's Uncle Ricky will perform "Storybook Love" from "The Princess Bride" as she walks down the aisle. The bride and Uncle Ricky have bonded over performing Christmas carols and other songs together over the years.
