How We Met (From Conner's Perspective)

Legoland Love

So it all began when I just got started at Legoland as a photographer. And I had to be trained on how to work the cameras and run the registers. So I was sent up to the driving school area with Sophia so she could show me the ropes. And after a full day of talking to her, while not once having to force the conversation or struggle with a topic to discuss, I was hooked. I knew there was something different about her. Every time I saw her from then on made my day better. I would get excited to know she and I were working on the same day or even better at the same location. I spent the next few months building a friendship with her based on the few instances I got to see her over the week. Then eventually I was lucky enough to get off work around the same time as her and asked if she would like to go on some rides with me. She accepted and we enjoyed Legoland for the last couple hours it was open. When we were walking back to our cars I worked up the nerve to ask her out to dinner (Sushi of course). And after that the rest is history and I thank God every day that he put someone as beautiful both inside and out as Sophia in my life.

How We Met (From Sophia's Perspective)

Finding my other half

I still remember the day I met Conner. We were in the front office at work and something about him stuck out to me, like I knew deep down that he was going to be the most significant person in my life. I saw him talk around to just about all our coworkers before introducing himself to me. I was pulled in and immediately was so interested in who this so very likable man was. As fate had it, me and him were assigned that day to work together, just us two. I had been working at Legoland a good month or so before him. I admit, I felt preeetty cool being his senior. I was told to train him on how to manage the area since he at the time only had a handful of shifts beforehand. The day was very slow so we just ended up talking for most of it, and that's how I met the love of my life!! Little did I know that I would be marrying the fun and fascinating coworker I had a bit of a crush on just a little over 3 years later, and I couldn't be anymore so extremely blessed for that. Ill always be the lucky one, being swooped off my feet and into his loving arms. We continued being friends for a while after, slowly getting closer to each other and enjoying the days we got to work together. One day, he came around to the booth I was working at. He and a coworker decided to walk around Legoland after their shift and came over to visit me :). Coincidently, that coworker left right as we began talking, leaving me and Conner alone to talk! He then asked me if I'd like to walk around with him after I was done working, and to that I said yes, but if he'd wait a few hours for me to get off. To my surprise, he did!! When I got off, we spent the rest of that day having fun at Legoland together like the two giddy kids we were, falling for each other. It felt like the best dream i could've ever had. After the park closed, we walked to where our cars were parked. He then invited me to hang out a bit more in his car, we talked and talked and listened to (what I thought at the time) his scary music taste. Then! He, very nervously, asked me to have sushi with him!! I said "maybe" (which was definitely a 'YES!!!!!' but I had to be cool) and I drove home with a huge smile on my face. We fell madly in love after that. Days, weeks and months flew by as we were creating the most beautiful of memories together, side by side. I knew from the moment we were together that I want to be with him for the rest of our lives. From us being lovey-dovey coworkers, leaving little love notes on each others car doors to us going to look at apartments in Washington together, every stage of our relationship was nothing short of magical. I knew he was the one meant for me, and that every challenge we will have that we will do it together and for each other. Conner had the chance to get in every other victory (saying I love you first was one) so I decided I will be the one to make the most important one, ask him to marry me!! It became a sort of game to us, we'd playfully banter on who would be the one to get to it first. So, on our 2 year anniversary, we went to 'our spot'. We ate dinner at the restaurant we went to all the time after Legoland shifts and afterwards go over and walk around to this romantic gazebo that was nearby. With the help of family, we put up candles and rose petals on the path leading up to the gazebo. That's when I asked him to marry me! He said yes and said he planned to propose less a month later before I beat him to it HAHA!! That's how our love story not only began but how its going to start on a new chapter, our marriage!
