WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!

We are so excited to get married in two weeks! We will be having a much smaller backyard wedding than initially planned but we know it will be so much fun no matter what. We are so sad that so many people are going to be missing out, so we are going to be doing a Facebook live so you can still see it all happen in real time, even if you can't be there in person. We were paying close attention to the constantly changing status of this crazy pandemic. Over the last few months we have come to terms with the fact that a big wedding where about 90% of guests will have to get on an airplane just doesn't seem likely or safe. As we get closer to our date (which as of today is about 3 months away), we have made the difficult decision to drastically scale back the size of our wedding, and also relocate it to San Diego, so that the people closest to us won't have to travel. While we are heartbroken about cancelling our big barn wedding, we are more concerned with our health and safety, as well as your health and safety. At this time, we are not sure what will be safe in terms of a guest count, we hope that by October we will be able to celebrate with about 50 guests, but we just don't know what direction Covid-19 will go. We also don't know what state guidelines will allow by then. As we get closer, we will be able to have more concrete plans. We wanted to make sure we kept our original date, so whether it is just us at a courthouse, or us with our immediate family, we WILL be getting married on October 17th, 2020. Because it is likely that so many people are going to be left out of this celebration because of restrictions, we will (hopefully) be doing something next October when things are likely to be much safer to celebrate with a large number of people, and as soon as those details are all nailed down, you will all be notified right away! When we met in high school in 2011, neither of us imagined we would eventually move to Seattle and get married, but here we are! We are so excited to dance all night and celebrate our love for each other with all the people we love! We hope to see you on the dance floor with us!
