Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Sophia M and Cody C
Here's our ideal day in Philly if you're looking for things to do before the wedding: First, go for a morning run or walk on the Schuylkill River Trail. Then, grab a coffee at La Colombe and bagel at Spread, K'far, or Kismet and enjoy them on a bench in Rittenhouse Park. Next, walk through City Hall and join the Mural Mile walking tour beginning at 11 AM. For lunch, stop by the stalls at Reading Terminal Market. Finally, head over to the Barnes or Philly Art Museum. If you have time, grab a marg at Blue Corn. End the day with a wedding :D More recommendations if you have time: Check out Old City (Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Elfreth's Alley), the Mutter Museum, and the Magic Gardens For brunch, go to Honey's (BYOB), Cafe Lift, or Green Eggs Cafe Grab a snack or lunch at Federal Donuts, Jim's / Dalessandro's (cheesesteaks), or South Philly Barabacoa For dinner, go to Barcelona (our first date spot!), Kalaya, Suraya, Little Nonna's, Blue Corn, Pizzeria Beddia, or Terrakawa
Schuylkill River Trail

Schuylkill River Trail

Schuylkill River Trail, Philadelphia, PA

Our favorite place for a run - go past Boathouse Row and extend the run into Valley Green Park (Cody never made it this far)

La Colombe Coffee Roasters

Mural Arts Philadelphia

Mural Arts Philadelphia

118 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Philly has more than 4,400 murals. The mural arts program initially started as an anti-graffiti program and now sponsors ~100 projects per year. Go on a self-guided or ~90-minute walking tour. The Mural Mile tour usually leaves at 11 AM on Saturday. The tour starts at the Pennsylvania Academy for Fine Arts and ends just a few blocks south of Reading Terminal Market. Go past City Hall on your way to the tour. You have to buy tickets in advance.

Reading Terminal Market

Reading Terminal Market

1136 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

This market has pretty much anything you want. Our favorites are:

Barnes Foundation

Barnes Foundation

2025 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Choose between the Barnes and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The Barnes is a more manageable museum and is home to the largest collection of Renoir's in the world

Philadelphia Museum of Art

Philadelphia Museum of Art

2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Choose between the Barnes and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Home to the famous Rocky steps and incredible pieces, it can feel overwhelming at times given its size!
