FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sophia Turbyville and Christopher Troutman
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Saturday, August 15 at 11:59PM

Question

What happens if I do not RSVP in time?

Answer

If we don't receive your RSVP by August 15, we'll need to mark you as unable to attend. We understand life gets busy, and we'd love to have you celebrate with us! However, we must provide our final guest count to the venue by this date, so we're unable to accommodate late RSVPs. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We'd love for you to dress up and celebrate with us! We're requesting formal attire for the evening. Gentlemen, please wear a suit or a button-down shirt with dress pants, paired with a tie or bow tie. Ladies, floor-length gowns or dressy jumpsuits are perfect choices. We encourage garden-inspired colors- think florals, jewel tones, and earthy hues—along with satin, patterns, and textures that complement the aesthetic. Please avoid white, ivory, beige, or very pale colors that might read as white in photographs. When in doubt, it's always better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed! Since the celebration will take place both indoors and outdoors, we recommend dressing accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We cannot accommodate additional guests not explicitly stated on the invitation. If you received a plus one, it will appear on your invitation and under your name when you RSVP. We appreciate your understanding and are excited to celebrate with you!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We have decided to keep our wedding adults only, except for the kids who are in the wedding party. We encourage you to use this as a date night and enjoy the night off!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 pm. We kindly ask that you arrive at St. James between 2:45 and 3:15 pm. For the sake of our ceremony, we'll need to close the doors at 3:30 pm—guests arriving after that time will be welcomed to join us for the reception. Thank you for helping us preserve this special moment.

Question

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

Yes! St. James Catholic Church, complimentary parish parking lots are available on 1826 Edenside Avenue. Designated handicapped parking is located in the driveway between the convent and the church or in the parking lot across Spring Street. Street parking is available on Edenside Avenue and Spring Street surrounding the church. At Whitehall, valet services are provided.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We'd love for you to be fully present with us on our special day. Please keep your cell phones and cameras put away during the ceremony—our hired photographer will capture every beautiful moment, and we'll be delighted to share those photos with you afterward!
