The picture above is in fact a picture not of Chad and I but of two other friends from camp. I (Sophia) took this photo on the walk that Chad and I went on during a break day in the beginning of the summer 2014, the summer we met, and some might say fell in love. (cue the floating hearts) I love to look back and remember this first time I really spent with chad. I love remembering how cool I thought he was for being SO comfortable in his own skin, for not showing off in front of the three girls he was with that day, he was kind, and funny and relaxed, and I loved it. We talked, and walked and walked and talked and found out quite a bit about each other. Mind you, this walk was not planned, and spending the day together was not in our radar, it just happened. We walked around Orting and got to know each other's lives, where we came from, what we have done in our past, what we hoped for our future. That Summer continued, our friendship grew and grew. As far as I knew it wasn't going to go anywhere until mid August, I told Chad that we needed to stop talking because I felt that I cared too much for him, and I didn't want it to continue. To that, Chad Engels relied, "Well actually Sophia I probably care about you more than you do about me because I have a huge crush on you". Yup. Those were his exact words my friends. HUGE crush! And it was history from there. I was on my way to WMI, the true test was of course to see if he could handle a long distance relationship. And he could and he did. Every day for 10 days at WMI, Chad called Sophia (me) lol during our free time. He is a dream boat. He passed the test! And it was all once again History. Chad and I have been together 3 years on August 28th 2017. I will forever be grateful to the Lord for blessing me with such an incredible man to call my HUSBAND!! I have WAY more I could write and tell you about but they have a letter limit on this thing. Chad and I could not be more THRILLED about marriage. We are blessed.
