Beau and Sophia met online in a bit of a lucky strike. Within their first conversations, they both could tell that the other had a unique level of substance, humor and kindness. After a few online game nights, they went on their very first date—a double date with Sophia’s best friends, Adam and Aarushi. They chose a jazz lounge in Phoenixville called The Fenix, where Sophia bought Beau a drink and, within a matter of minutes, instinctively gave him a kiss. The two talked beyond the hours of 2 in the morning, at which point Beau made the 90-minute drive home without complaint or regret. From that night on, they both knew they had found an instant connection.
On May 1st, 2024, Beau and Sophia traded long drives and weekend visits for something much better—coming home to each other every single day. Moving day was a whirlwind of overflowing boxes, Wawa Hoagies, laughter, and a variety of mishaps. They discovered Sophia had enough clothes to break the dresser, and Beau’s board game collection could fill every square foot of the space. When they arrived at their apartment for the final load of unpacking, somewhere near 11pm, and planning to work the next day, they collapsed in a puddle of sweat, tears and anxiety. And yet, surrounded by the chaos of unpacking, they felt perfectly at peace—because for the first time, home meant both of them together.
Just a couple of months after settling in, Beau and Sophia decided their new home needed one more heartbeat—and that’s how Stormi came into their lives. The moment they met her, they fell completely in love with her white paws and curious personality. It didn’t take long for Stormi to become the center of attention in the household, not just for Beau and Sophia, but for all their friends, too. Over time, she collected an impressive list of nicknames, from “Demonia” (Portuguese for “little demon”) to the more affectionate “Shwarma.” Whether she was curled up in her cat tree or doing tricks for treats, Stormi made their little family feel complete. Becoming her parents was their most fulfilling team endeavor yet. They cemented this family love with matching tattoos of her tiny paw print.
The next chapter of their story came on a day Sophia will never forget. On the morning of the proposal, her best friend, Aarushi, invited her out for a little "girls’ date" in Phoenixville. After some late lunch and reminiscing together, they eventually found themselves walking toward a familiar place—The Fenix, the very spot where Sophia and Beau first met. When they stepped inside, Sophia was stunned. Their friend Adam was beautifully serenading them on the guitar with Beau and Sophia's favorite song, "Do You Remember?" by Jack Johnson. As soon as she could recognize the tune and catch a glimpse of the flower bouquets waiting for her, Beau appeared, waiting for her in his best clothes. He had rented out the entire lounge just for this moment. The music and soft click of Aarushi's cameras in the quiet space filled the room with music, emotion, and memory. It was beautiful, personal, and perfect in every way. After she said “yes,” they returned home to find one more surprise—an after-party with all their friends, ready to celebrate the start of their forever!
