For travel to France, passports must be valid at least 3 months beyond your departure date, but many airlines require 6 months.
All wedding events will take place primarily outdoors, surrounded by vineyards and open-air spaces. The only indoor portion of the celebration will be the reception dance party after dinner, which will move inside later in the evening.
Attendance is limited due to space and planning logistics. Please refer to your invitation for the names of invited guests—only those listed are included in our celebration. Thank you so much for understanding as we finalize details for our wedding week.
Only guests specifically named on the invitation are invited to attend. If someone is not listed on your invitation, we’re unable to accommodate them due to space and planning considerations.
Yes—there is plenty of on-site parking available at the wedding venue. While transportation will be provided on the wedding day and is recommended, guests who choose to drive themselves will have easy access to parking at the venue.
Yes! There will be an open bar at all wedding events, including the ceremony, reception, and day-after pool party. We’re excited to celebrate with you—just bring yourselves and enjoy.
September is typically warm and sunny, with daytime temps in the 70s–80s °F (21–28°C) and cooler evenings. We recommend light attire for the day and a wrap or jacket at night.
We recommend renting a car to explore the region before and after the wedding, as taxis can be limited. Transportation will be provided on the wedding day to and from the venue. Rental cars are available at Bordeaux Airport or train stations—train travel is recommended from Paris.
We invite you to celebrate with us in formal attire at our French château. Floor-length gowns are requested for women, and tuxedos or formal dark suits for men. While this is a formal event, it is not strictly black tie, as many portions of the celebration will take place outdoors. Our color palette is inspired by the French countryside — muted tones, soft pinks, warm oranges, layered greens, and a vibrant touch of magenta. We would love for guests to lean into these romantic, garden-inspired hues. Please note that parts of the celebration will be held on cobblestones and grass. We kindly recommend footwear suited for outdoor elegance, such as block heels, wedges, or refined flats.
Yes! We have a few optional events planned throughout the weekend that we’d love for you to join. On Thursday we’ll be doing a city tour of Bordeaux, Friday kicks off with a welcome wine tasting, and Sunday we’re recovering poolside at the château. An RSVP will be needed for each event — keep an eye out for details!
The easiest way to travel from Paris to Bordeaux is by TGV (high-speed train) operated by SNCF. Trains depart regularly from Paris Gare Montparnasse and Charles de Gaulle (the largest airport to fly into) and arrive at Bordeaux-Saint-Jean station in just around 2 hours. We recommend booking your tickets in advance to get the best prices and secure your seat. Tickets tend to sell out quickly, especially on weekends, so don’t wait too long! Most U.S. phones will work in France, but roaming charges from your carrier can add up quickly. We recommend downloading Airalo before you leave — it’s an eSIM app that lets you purchase a local data plan for France right from your phone, no physical SIM swap needed. It’s affordable, easy to set up, and you’ll have data the moment you land. Just make sure your phone is eSIM-compatible (most newer iPhones and Androids are) and unlocked before your trip!
Credit and debit cards are widely accepted across Bordeaux and Saint Émilion — Visa and Mastercard work everywhere, though American Express less so. It’s worth carrying a small amount of cash in euros for markets, smaller vendors, and village wine caves. ATMs are easy to find in Bordeaux but scarcer in Saint-Émilion, so we’d recommend withdrawing cash before heading out to the village.
We truly want your entire stay to feel magical and stress-free! If there’s a question you don’t see answered here, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re more than happy to help with anything you need and can’t wait to celebrate together.
