Neither of us thought we'd be meeting the love of our lives at a Christmas Party, but here we are! When Seth came back home to College Station for his 2-week leave for Christmas, his sister Ann threw an Ugly Sweater Party. I had to catch an early flight the next morning but made it to the party anyway (and thank god I did!). As soon as I walked in the door Seth and I were inseparable the rest of the night and I went home hoping the cute boy from the party would ask me on a date.

By the grace of God, the cute boy from the party DID ask me on a date! The date began at a mac and cheese restaurant and we drove to a park out by a lake to eat and take in the scenery. After the park, Seth took me to Sonic to get a sweet tea and ice cream. Of course, it was the perfect first date because it included my 3 favorite things, the cute boy from the party, mac and cheese, and sweet tea! Since our first date, we have been inseparable even while most of our relationship he was 745 miles away!

Our proposal was obviously the best day of our lives...so far! Seth surprised me with a date at our favorite spot, the lake at POV. As soon as we pulled up I started bawling because I knew what was coming. We got out and walked to the bench where only 6 months before we had sat and had our first date. He got down on one knee but I was so overwhelmed with happiness that it is hard to even remember what he said...Something about I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. But of course, in the end, he asked me to be his wife and I said YES!
