August 2022. We served as Christ in the City missionaries together in 2022-2023. Can you find us?

June 2023. This was our first real picture together at the end of our year of service together. Jon had a crush on Sophia the whole year.

Christmas Eve 2024! We were both in Philly for work over Christmas. Sophia said she wouldn't spend Christmas with a guy who wasn't her boyfriend, so Jon asked her to be his girlfriend that night!

May 2025. One of many trips back home to Virginia and one of many weddings we attended in 2025.

May 2025. This was our first trip home to Louisiana! Jon planned a "surprise" horseback riding tour for Sophia. He accidentally spoiled it a week before.

July 2025. Jon's first Van Horn Family beach vacation to the Outer Banks! A week of Duck Donuts, jellyfish stings, blue crabs, and loads of (dairy free) ice cream.

October 2025. A wonderful trip to Charlottesville for football and apple picking! Jon had an exciting question to ask Mr. Ted on this trip.

October 25, 2025. Jon asked Sophia to marry him at Longwood Gardens! She said, "Of course!" She was completely surprised, and even told Jon that she knew he wouldn’t propose that day...she was wrong.

We are so excited to get married!!
