Fresh out of high school, Sophia and I both found ourselves working at our first job: Ralph's Grocery. We didn't know it at the time, but we were following almost the exact same path. We graduated the same year from Summit High School, both started semesters at Chaffey College, we even had some of the same friends in school. Even more amazingly, Sophia lived right next door to my best friend's house, whom I'd visit regularly. Yet, our paths had never crossed. It was simply by chance that we were both hired at the same place. I knew pretty early on that the job was dogshit, but it was actually a blessing in disguise. I saw her a few times while were both bagging for customers. I remember thinking how pretty she was, and how much I loved seeing her smile as she greeted people. The first time we spoke, I was finishing up lunch. A she came into the breakroom with another co-worker, they sat at the table and naturally included me in a conversation. Simple small talk, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a little flustered. At some point, she asked me how old I was. When I told her I was 17, she laughed and exclaimed, "Oh my God, you're just a baby!" That's when my nerves got to me, and I excused myself to clock back in, whilst trying to hide my blushing face. As time went on, and we grew acquainted as co-workers, I found myself looking forward to my shifts for the first time. I told her how annoyed I was that we only had 1 or 2 shifts scheduled together each week. She reciprocated those feelings, and we both wanted to get to know each other more. One day, I decided I was going to as her to go on a date. I was waiting ask at the end of my shift, I needed to build up the courage not to chicken out. However, before I could do the deed, she came up to me and said there was something important she wanted to talk to me about. I asked her what it was about, but she said she needed to wait to tell me. I was honestly confused and started to get a little concerned. Then, right when my shift was up, she came up and handed me a small note. She watched me open up the note read aloud, "Do you want to go on a date with me?" Her face was flush, her fingers were tightly clung together resting at her waist. I could tell her heart was pumping out of her chest. I totally played it cool, and with a smile I responded, "I'd love to go on a date with you." We went somewhere that was casual and fun: Dave & Busters. We had a nice time talking and playing games. That was her first introduction to my Godlike pro gamer skills (I beat her in Mario Kart). We instantly clicked, we were making each other laugh, and we loved each other's energy. After that day, we texted and talked almost every single day. Then, on June 9th, 2017, we became an official couple and shared our first kiss in front of our place of employment.

It was the week of Christmas. that whole week was cold and rainy due to a tropical storm warning. On the December 22nd the day was perfect no rain, and the sun was saying hello. Danny then told me to get ready for something but not to get all dressed up or put too much makeup on. while I was getting ready, He asked me "what was the name of the park we went to for our picnic that one-time with the willow trees"? I said, " it's called Martin Tudor Jurupa Regional Park." On the way to the park, I was nervous not knowing what is to come because we didn't pack any food or drinks. When we arrived Danny led me to our spot that is surrounded by the beautiful Willow trees. He started to make small talk to with me like we were on a first date. I notice he was nervous which made me more nervous. He asked me "Do I see myself spending the rest of my life with him and starting a family one day?" and I said, "yes I do I always have." Then he asked me, "would you marry me?" I started to laugh out of nowhere. I told him "Are you serious?!" he then said, " you don't believe me?" I just stood quite not knowing what to say. then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, he pulled out the ring that I have always imagine having. He said, "Sophia Patricia Bravo will you please do me the honor of marring me?" I stood up so fast and said "YES!" I jumped into his arms (Kim Kardashian ugly crying).
