Question

How do I rsvp?

Answer

Please select the “RSVP” tab on our home page and follow the prompts to submit your response. We request your response by October 1st.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal/cocktail attire. We would love for our guests to embrace colorful looks that reflect the warmth and joy of the day! We also kindly ask that attire remains respectful and modest for the Nuptial Mass.

Question

What will the ceremony be like?

Answer

We would love for our guests to observe or participate in the Mass however you are most comfortable! A program containing the Order of the Mass will be available to each of our guests to follow along. You can expect the ceremony to last between an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. Following the conclusion of the mass, we invite you to wait on the steps of the church as we are announced as husband and wife for the first time. We hope you enjoy this beautiful celebration of the Mass!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We highly recommend that our guests plan to arrive 20 to 30 minutes early to allow ample time for navigating downtown Charleston, as well as securing parking.

Question

What is parking like?

Answer

Parking in The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist’s parking lot will be limited. In the event that the lot fills up, we recommend Queen Street Parking Garage which is located next door and has a small path that leads to The Cathedral’s courtyard. Those who park in The Cathedral’s parking lot will need to vacate the lot following the conclusion of the Nuptial Mass. There will be ample parking at The Citadel Beach Club for the reception.

Question

May I leave my car overnight?

Answer

Guests may not leave their cars overnight at neither the ceremony nor the reception venue.
