Skyline Loop Trail is one of the most iconic hikes in Mount Rainier National Park, offering nonstop “wow” moments from start to finish. This ~5.5-mile loop begins at Paradise and winds through wildflower meadows, above-the-cloud viewpoints, and alpine terrain with incredible views of Mount Rainier, glaciers, and waterfalls. On clear days, you may even spot Mount Adams and Mount St. Helens. The trail is moderate to semi-strenuous, with steady elevation gain—but every uphill is rewarded with unforgettable scenery and plenty of photo stops. This hike is completely optional—if hiking isn’t your thing or you’d rather explore Paradise at a relaxed pace, no pressure at all, but we'd love anyone willing to join us for some Views before Vows 💛 What to bring: sturdy hiking shoes, layers, water, snacks, sun protection, and a phone or camera. Beautiful, semi-challenging, and absolutely worth it—just like the adventure we’re about to begin together.

We can’t wait to share this moment with you! Please plan to arrive at the Paradise Inn Parking Lot by 4:15 PM so we can all head to the ceremony location together. We’ll kick things off shortly after arrival, followed by photos surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountain views imaginable. Attire is semi-formal, with a little room for comfort—think polished, elevated, and adventure-friendly. We’d also love for everyone to lean into fall-inspired colors (warm neutrals, deep greens, rusts, browns, creams, and soft earth tones) to complement our surroundings and wedding color palette. After the ceremony, we’ll spend time taking group and couple photos, soaking in the views, and celebrating together. Layers are encouraged—mountain weather loves to keep us guessing!

After we say “I do,” it’s time to eat, drink, and celebrate! We’ll gather for a cozy, relaxed reception featuring a comforting, crowd-pleasing dinner spread. Dinner includes two pasta options with rich meat sauce, homemade alfredo, and pesto, plus grilled chicken, garlic shrimp, steamed broccoli, Caesar salad, and warm garlic baguettes. We'll also have plenty of beer, wine, and other beverages to enjoy all evening. For dessert, we’re keeping it local and sweet with Ashford's famous homemade blackberry pie. Expect great food, good drinks, plenty of laughs, and time to unwind and celebrate together after a day in the mountains. Come hungry—and ready to celebrate with us!
