We met on Match.com and I was not happy with the results or selections. I actually almost stopped and got off of it because so many of them were not what I was looking for. But then the day I was going to stop Josh messaged me and we haven’t looked back! We talked back and forth for two weeks then one Saturday I went to CBC with Verna and there was a dog adoption at High Branch Brewing. Josh and I had been talking about the dog adoption and he was in downtown Charlotte with friends. I suggested we go meet that night instead of the previously planned Tuesday night baseball game. So he came and picked me up at my house we drove the 1.5 hours to Hickory Speedway to find out the race had happened earlier that day instead of the typical night show. So we had Cook Out for dinner in the Tractor Supply parking lot under the light then went back to downtown Concord and went to the Basement bar to play arcade games. It definitely was not a typical first date by any means but all the hiccups along the way sparked some great conversations to be had early on and we just clicked immediately! We went out again on Tuesday to a college baseball game at Kannapolis Cannonballers Stadium (the original first date plan) and have been together almost everyday since. Less than a year later (350 days), we got engaged at the Biltmore on top of the hill, now we are on top of the world excited to start our new life together as a married couple!
