It all started one night at a Captivate Church bible study. Their eyes met and soon they were deep in conversation. He made her laugh, but she laughed at his boots! He wasted no time in asking this city girl if he could sit next to her at church. Little did they know that this was the beginning of a life-long journey!

After a romantic dinner at Ciccia, he drove her to the Coronado Cays for a gondola ride at sunset. With Italian music in the background and a box of Bethany's favorite pastries in hand, they floated along the canals enjoying the sunset hues. As they sailed along, the gondolier stopped to "take photos," and Joseph got down on one knee with a beautiful diamond ring in his hand. She shouted "YES" and the rest is history!
