We're so Excited to Celebrate with You!

We went to school together for 12 years but did not have our first conversation until 7th grade. Luke actually learned Katie's name last out of everyone in our grade. We became fast class friends after being forced to sit by each other in almost every class just by chance! Everything changed in 8th grade when Luke won a "rock, paper, scissors" contest between him and another classmate with the winner being the one who was allowed to pursue dating Katie. We started dating for real at the end of our freshman year of high school and have been together ever since!

When we were in Hilton Head on vacation, we went out for a nice dinner at the beachfront restaurant. After dinner, Luke asked to take a walk on the beach where, after a really far walk down the beach, there was a heart laying in the sand. He then got down on one knee, and we were engaged! Behind the scenes, our six friends that were on the trip with us had been told the wrong time that they were supposed to arrive at the beach. Luke had accidentally told them we were eating at 5:30 when we were really eating at 5. Assuming they had plenty of time, they arrived at the beach shortly after 5:30 right as Luke texted them that we were on our way. All of them had to sprint to the spot and then dig the heart as fast as possible to get it done in time. It ended up working out, and it made for a funny story after they all came out of their hiding spots!
