Like any couple in 2018, Katie & Nate met on a dating app. While swiping away for "the one," Katie stumbled across Nate's picture and read his bio. His favorite song choice was the song Christmas Shoes. From that moment Katie knew his humor (and possible love of Christmas?) could make him be the one. They talked all night long through the app and hit it off right away. Things really clicked when they both discovered their love of the musician Frank Turner, who happened to be coming to Philly in the summer and Katie just so happened to have an extra ticket for the show...
Katie was living in South Philly at the time and she and Nate quickly made plans to meet IRL. Melrose quickly became a staple in their relationship for late night bites and Sunday breakfast.
On their first camping trip, Nate took Katie to Jim Thorpe, a quaint town in the Poconos, which quickly became part of their story. The couple's favorite spot is just outside of town, which is a 100 mile overlook of mountains and trees. Thinking nothing out of the ordinary, the couple made a trip to see the Autumn colors and made a stop at the view with their puppy, Whiskey. Little did Katie know, that is where Nate would pop the question...
