In May 2020, Peter was attending a party hosted by now-groomsman Joe Simone in Wayne, NJ. A few mutual friends couldn't help but rave about Kaitlyn, insisting that Peter had to meet her. Fast forward to July 5, 2020, and Peter and Kaitlyn's paths finally crossed at the beach in Belmar, NJ. Kaitlyn, walking up the boardwalk, was on the phone with her friend Carson when she spotted Peter. Without missing a beat, she excitedly said, "Oh my god, I am going to marry him." It was a spontaneous, heartfelt declaration that would come to symbolize the beginning of their love story. Just five days later, on July 10, 2020, Peter and Kaitlyn officially started dating. From that moment on, their lives became intertwined, and they were inseparable. Their connection grew stronger with each passing day, built on shared moments, laughter, and a profound understanding of one another. In July 2024, during a lunch at Burlews—one of their favorite spots from their early dates—Peter orchestrated a surprise for Kaitlyn. Peter chose Keyport, a place that held special significance for them both, where they often enjoyed walks by the water and casual drinks. Peter got down on one knee and asked Kaitlyn to marry him. Overwhelmed with emotion and joy, Kaitlyn said yes, marking the start of a new chapter in their love story.
