Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would love to invite as many people as possible but we are on a tight budget and the base will only allow people from our guest list on the base that have been approved from a background check before the wedding.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking around the chapel and a parking lot outside of the Officers Club. There is also handicap parking for those in need.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hotel recommendations are on travel tab. As always, you can look up hotels or places to stay near Fort Belvior and multiple different hotels or airbnbs will be available for your choosing.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let the bride or groom know well in advance if there is a serious food allergy. We will do our best to work with you in hopes for you to have an enjoyable meal along with everyone else.

Are kids welcomed?

Yes! Please let us know if you are bringing your little one in advance. We will need to know this for table and chair numbers for the reception.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

I recommend for people to arrive plenty early. Mostly to make sure they are able to get onto the base with no issues and to get a good seat for the ceremony. The schedule for the afternoon is listed under the schedule tabs. See you there!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Please drive your own car. Some cars and personnel are not allowed onto the base without going through a back ground check when entering the gate.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress nice! The reception area will not let you in if you are wearing jeans, shorts, or tennis shoes. This is also a January wedding so please dress for the weather. Everything will be held inside but there will be some traveling between ceremony and reception to the next location and we don't want you to be cold.

What is Pre-Vetting?

Answer

Pre-Vetting is personnel information needed for the military base to allow you through the gate the day of the wedding. This information is required when you send back your RSVP card to make the process the day of the wedding easier for us and you. This information is needed for people who are 16 years or older. If you have filled out the paper and sent us back the pre-vetting form with your RSVP and done everything correctly, all you will need to do the day of the wedding is present your name to the gate officers and tell them you are there to attend a wedding and they should allow you on base.
