Maid of Honor
Devin and I have known each other for several years. We admired one another's ambition for our respective colorguard groups in high school, and we even had the wonderful opportunity to march together at CGT in 2017! Our friendship continued to grow as we became roommates. She is the person that reignited my fire to pursue God and His righteousness. Not only can I thank her for introducing Jonathan and I but also for being a huge role model for me. Devin makes a big difference in my daily life, and I look forward to our relationship continuing in the future. It is truly a blessing to have her for accountability and also to enjoy life together.
Best Man
I have known Jon Carr since my junior year of college, and man, what a journey it has been. He has been such a joyful person to be around, and he has been such a good influence on my life. He has shown me much on what it means to follow Jesus, and I have grown so much with Jon’s presence in my life. Through fishing with him, watching sports games with him, and through so many other activities, I am so excited to see where our friendship will go after I am married!
Matron of Honor
Rachel is my older sister that has inspired me with her independence and boldness, that she presents to the world. From the classic sister conflicts to the vulnerable moments that we shared with one another, I thank God that I had each of those moments with her. She has shown me to be unapologetic about the way God created me. As we have both become adults, we are best friends who can call each other @ any given time, and just pick up where we left off, never missing a beat, & catch up on life!
Groomsman
I have so much love for my one and only brother. Nicolas Shier has been my best friend since we were so little. Since he moved off to college, I have grown so much closer to him without even realizing it. From fighting over who gets the DVD remote to fishing all day with him, Nic is someone who I feel lucky to call him as my brother. I am so blessed to be related to him, and I am so happy that we are brothers.
Bridesmaid
Gabby is my little sister that adds so many laughs into my life. She is beyond creative and also so caring to those around her. Watching her grow up, I see that we have a lot of similarities. Mom says she is my "mini-me". Even though she is younger than me, she inspires me to stay genuine and continues to challenge me with my creativity. I love that we get to bond over Disney movies, dancing, and eating our favorite foods! Gabby is a ball of energy that is so much fun to be around, and I love having her in my life.
Groomsman
Caleb has been in my life since we were in the sixth grade. We started learning trumpet together and played baseball together, and in 2019 we served as the two section leaders for the Cavaliers Trumpet section (splooie) and the two leaders for the Box 7 Bible Study, as well as being seat partners that year. I love that I get to call him or text him whenever I want and that I do not have to try to be someone I am not. He is such a dear friend of mine, and I am so excited to see what his future holds!
Bridesmaid
Kayla is such a joy that has been brought into my life ever since we became roommates. We knew of each other through colorguard but became closer friends once we moved in together. We quickly realized that we have a lot of similarities that we handle in different ways. This has brought us closer to each other and challenged us to be vulnerable with one another. She is one semester ahead of me in our Elementary Education program, and I am so blessed to have someone to walk me through each step of this long process! Leading a Bible study with each other this past summer has grown our friendship and I will forever cherish the impact that it has in my daily life. Kayla brings so much positivity into our friendship and I am honored to call her my friend.

Man, I love Luke so much. I first met Luke when I was a freshman in college, and I immediately recognized his humor and love for Jesus. I loved how quirky he was, how good he was at what he did, and how wise he was. When Emilie and I were thinking about dating, he was someone I went to first to ask for advice on how to date Biblically. He was also the person I went to first to ask for advice on how to manage finances (which I am still putting into practice to this day!) and how to apply Biblical wisdom to everything I do. I am so thankful for Luke’s friendship in my life!
Bridesmaid
Maci is my dear friend that I met through colorguard and also is my roommate. We were the first two of the four to move into our place. There were some laughs and awkward moments at first, but her sense of humor is something that got us through it! She is so intelligent and brings this level of maturity to our friendship that is so unique. She also has been through Jonathan and I’s relationship from day one. From eating our first supper on the floor to having study dates, I am so thankful to have those moments with her. Maci is someone that pulls me out of my shell and shows me how to enjoy the small things in life. As we continue in our lives, she will continue to be a dear friend to me that will always tell me how it is!

Oh man, where do I even start? I first met Max while living in Bruce Hall at UNT. He lived right down the hall from me and he was such a joy! He was not saved yet when I first met him, and through praying for him and through discipling him, he got saved and was baptized on May 3rd, 2019! And what a journey! His life has been turned completely around, and I am sooo happy that I get to be part of his journey! Since then, our friendship has blossomed. Watching him have a child-like faith is so inspiring to me, and helps me learn to surrender to God’s voice. He recognizes the call of God on his life and acts on it - a lesson that I need to be constantly reminded of. I am so proud to call Max my friend!
