We're getting married!

Our story starts at Larkin High School in Elgin, where we became friends by doing band together and sharing class schedules. We started dating our junior year of high school after Bryan asked Elyssa to be his girlfriend on a band trip to Disney World. After we graduated high school, Bryan went to the University of Oklahoma while Elyssa went to the University of North Texas. We decided to try a long distance relationship. Luckily, our colleges were only 2 hours away from each other, so we were able to visit at least once or twice a semester. We spent our short weekends together exploring our college towns and trying all the good eats. After we both graduated, we started our first jobs in different states. Elyssa became a band director in Texas and Bryan was working as a hydrometeorologist in Oklahoma. After two years at our jobs, Bryan was able to transition to working fully remote (thanks, COVID) and he moved down to Texas to live with Elyssa in the summer of 2021. On December 1, 2021, Bryan FINALLY proposed after dating for 7 and a half years! In the midst of wedding planning, both Bryan and Elyssa started new jobs and bought their first house together to move closer to Dallas.
