FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones. However, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you can use the night as a chance to relax, celebrate, and dance the night away with us!

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

Please visit the RSVP page on our website to let us know if you’ll be joining us. Kindly submit your response by July 1, 2026, so we can plan accordingly. We truly appreciate your timely reply — it helps us coordinate with our vendors and make sure everything is just right for our special day!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

We do not currently have a room block at the Holiday Inn Shelbyville, as we were advised that it is often easier and more cost-effective for guests to book individually using their IHG accounts. You are welcome to book at whichever hotel best fits your preferences. Since the wedding is on Labor Day weekend, we recommend booking accommodations as soon as possible, as prices will likely increase throughout the year.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes — we’ve put together a registry with some helpful items and a few experience funds for our future adventures! Everything can be found under the Registry tab on our website.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’d love for our guests to join us in dressy-casual attire — think midi dresses, jumpsuits, or dress shirts with slacks. We kindly ask that you avoid wearing primarily white.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 3:30pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony to get settled.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be a gravel parking lot available behind the cottage (9778 W County Road 900 S Waldron, IN 46182). We ask that all guests then proceed around the pine tree-line to approach the outdoor ceremony space.

Question

What food will be served at the event?

Answer

For dinner, please anticipate a street taco buffet from Samano’s, including chicken, steak, and al pastor with all the accompaniments (i.e., tortillas, rice, beans, cheese, etc.). We will also be having a late night food truck - 250 Grill, which will be serving grilled cheese, chicken bacon ranch grilled cheese, fried pickles, fries (regular or loaded), and homemade ice cream - at no cost to you.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, of course! We will have free beer, wine, batch cocktails - margaritas, strawberry vodka lemonade, and jack/cokes. Additional call liquors with various mixers will be available for purchase.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Our ceremony will move indoors to the barn reception space.
