Years before Lee and I ever met in person, I worked at the store his father had been the general manager of for the past 25 years. You may have heard of the store, Dillard’s. Every time he would come down to the second floor, he would always ask how school was going and if I had yet to meet his youngest son. It was always a no… Fast forward a couple years later: Lee and I were both attending a drivers education class the summer before we went into our sophomore year of high school. On the first day I walked into the class, looked around for my friends then sat down and started looking around. As I’m people watching across the room, I stopped at Lee and we locked eyes and this overwhelming feeling of ‘this is the one’ took hold. We waited for about a year before we actually started dating, but in that time I grew so impatient I couldn’t stand to wait any longer. So one day, I finally took my chance. I went onto his instagram profile, liked all of his pictures (all 10 of them) to get his attention, then sent a direct message and we met up that night to hang out after work…. and from there on the rest was history!
