What is the dress code?

Answer

Garden formal attire: Summer suits, below the knee or longer elegant dresses, and formal jumpsuits are appropriate. Soft, flowing fabric, warm late summer colors and floral prints are encouraged. Dress shoes with the garden in mind!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please arrive by 5pm

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Let the person at the gate know you're here for our wedding! Then follow the road to the large parking lot in front of the visitor center.

Is the Ceremony and Reception at the same place?

Answer

Yes! Parking will be very close to the reception, and the ceremony will just be a short walk down the path!

Is this outdoor or indoor?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors. The reception will have indoor seating, and continue to maintain lawn access. Enjoy all the gardens, grounds, and nature Cantigny has to offer!!! (Weather permitted: there are indoor spaces reserved incase it is unsafe to conduct the event outdoors)

Are kids welcome?

This wedding is adults only! Time for you to enjoy a nice night out!!

Will I be allowed to have my mobile device?

Answer

This wedding is unplugged! We recommend leaving your mobile phone in the car, or ask that you turn your phone to silent or off, during the ceremony. We also ask that you be mindful of your phone use at the reception. We will have a full photography and videography team shooting the entire ceremony and reception, and all guests will receive access to our online gallery after the event!! So sit back and relax, enjoy the nature, and have fun!!!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

YES, and please contact us (630-453-1128)! Our venue is very accommodating of all dietary needs!
