Our Story

First comes school, then comes marriage

Our story is quite unique considering we had been friends throughout high school. Michael being very involved in both baseball and football and myself being involved in cheerleading, it is no wonder our paths crossed then and a friendship bloomed. What we didn't know is that God had plans and a future for us later down the road. After all Michael was headed to military school in Roswell to pursue his education and baseball career and I was off to Albuquerque to pursue my education and dreams of becoming a counselor. We never gave each other a second thought, well, because we had our whole future ahead of us and we had only ever just been friends. After about 3.5 years of life lived, lessons learned, memories made, trials, tribulations, accomplishments and heartbreak our paths would align again. Michael had moved to Albuquerque to continue his education at UNM. Little did he know I was on my last year there and I was getting ready to graduate. One day on our way to our classes we saw each other again for the first time since high school. Shocked that we would run into each other we exchanged quick conversation and went about our days. It was not until Wednesday August 29th, 2019 that I looked down at my phone and Michael's name appeared. He was asking me if I wanted to hang out that Saturday. A little skeptical and a little excited I said yes. I guess he couldn't wait until then because he ended up inviting himself to a movie I was planning on going to alone that Friday (even though I was secretly hoping he would have). After that movie we spent hours upon hours talking, catching up, reminiscing old times and sharing new memories made in the absence of each other over the past 3 or so years. How naive we were sitting in that Village Inn booth, not even guessing at the miracle God had for us. Now, here we are planning a wedding and a life to grow old together. Just some old friend's from high school and we wouldn't have wanted it to go any other way.

For all the days along the way
