We met on the night of June 3rd at Electric Cowboy in Lewisville, Texas a place neither of us had planned on making any life-changing memories, yet fate had other plans. We had both gone out with separate groups of friends that night, just looking for a bit of fun and maybe to dance the night away. The energy was high, music pulsed through the air, and slowly, as the evening unfolded, our groups began to mingle. I remember feeling a little out of place at first being one of the few women in our group and not really much of a dancer. The only dancing I'd ever done was back in middle school cheerleading routines, nothing like what the night promised. And then, out of the crowd, Michael came up to me. He was calm and kind, with a smile that made the noise around us fade for a moment. He offered me a drink and asked me to dance something so simple, yet it shifted everything. Even though I was nervous, something about him made me feel safe and seen. So I said yes. That first dance was awkward and sweet and unforgettable. We laughed, found rhythm in the chaos, and without even realizing it, we were already beginning to write our story. After the night wound down, we exchanged numbers, not wanting the connection to end with the music. A bunch of us ended up grabbing tacos at a local spot nothing fancy, but one of those little moments that would become a core memory. We talked, we laughed, and when the sun came up, we knew we wanted to see each other again. And we did the very next day. From that point on, we’ve hardly spent a day apart. What started as a chance meeting in a loud country dance hall turned into something lasting and real. We’ve taken countless road trips, explored new cities, celebrated with each other’s families, and built a life full of laughter, lessons, and love. In May of 2025, we bought our first home a place to grow roots and dream big. Every adventure, every quiet morning, every “just because” moment has only brought us closer. We cannot wait to continue writing our story to grow in marriage, to raise a family, and to hold onto the magic of that night we first danced.
