Randi Rambo

May 29, 2026

Millersville, PA

The Beginning

We had mutual friends in High School and knew of each other, but never once talked. After graduating in 2018, Zane joined the USMC and I went off to College. Fast forward 4 years, we reconnected and formed a friendship that was irreplaceable. We both knew we had something special after we would talk for hours every day and never ran out of things to say.

The Proposal

I knew when we started dating, I had to share him with hunting season. The only logical thing for me to do was get my hunting license, so I could tag along even though orange is not my color (this plays an important part in our story). I think when I asked if I could bring snacks along during our first hunt, he immediately regretted this decision. Fast forward to our second season together, we head out for the first day of riffle. Naturally, it was the coldest day of the month and the only thing that was going to keep me from freezing to death was the biggest, ugliest orange jacket. Sitting in the tree stand, I remember telling Zane I put in my time and my seasons done after today (he told me I can't be successful if I quit now). I thought about it for a minute, but I in fact, had made up my mind. Shortly after, he said we could get down and head home (I couldn't be happier), so I went down the tree stand first and had my back turned to him. I could barely move but I didn't hear Zane getting down, so when I turned around and saw him on one knee, you best believe I was SHOOK. Even in my ugly, bulky orange jacket, camo pants, and big boots he wants to marry me? Absolutely I said yes! Finding each other was a breath of fresh air and we couldn't be more excited to start this next chapter of life together!
