From First Dance to 'I Do'

From Braces to 'I Do' It all began on a fall evening in 2016, under the twinkling lights of a high school gym transformed for Homecoming. The music was loud, the lights were low, and the nerves were high. Among the crowd, two teenagers stood awkwardly with their friends on the dance floor—each wearing braces and shy smiles, unaware that fate was about to change everything. After an awkward introduction, their eyes met and something just clicked. Words were scarce—nerves got the better of them—but the connection was undeniable. He was so nervous he couldn’t even ask for her name. She, on the other hand, was fearless in the way only teenage girls in braces can be—and she went in for a kiss (with peer pressure of course). It was the sweetest, most awkward, most unforgettable first kiss. As the night came to an end, she asked for his number (because of course she had to—he was still trying to remember her name). They parted ways to separate after-parties, but something had shifted. Surrounded by music and friends, both found themselves glued to their phones, far more intrigued by their budding text conversation than by anything else happening around them. What started with braces and butterflies grew—slowly, sweetly—into a friendship, a love, and now, a life together. From teenage nerves to forever vows, theirs is a story about fate, courage, and the kind of love that starts with a kiss and lasts a lifetime. Today, they say "I do" with the same spark that began it all—only this time, no braces, and he *definitely* knows her name.
