This is the video once we landed after skydiving, it all happened so fast and I had no idea!
Sophomore year of high school I needed a date to winter formal, and wasn't sure who to ask. One of my friends told me to ask Jacob, and that no one had asked him yet so it was perfect. So I went out on a limb and decided to ask him. He said yes and the rest is history!
We both graduated from high school the spring of 2019, and ended up attending Bemidji State University after that. We were both staying at home for the first year to try and save up some money while we decided what to do next, to rent or to buy a place for us to live. The price of rent was crazy expensive, and people weren't really selling their houses due to the fact that the pandemic had just started and nobody was really leaving their houses. On Easter of 2020, we came across a chunk of land for sale and thought why not go look at it. Well, 'just looking' turned into drawing up house plans very quickly! That summer we bought the land and began building our 'shouse' AKA shop house (a smaller house that will be turned into our garage once we build a bigger house next to it). We had lots of family and friends help us with the build, which just makes it mean that much more to us. We moved in on my birthday, and have been here ever since! It is the perfect place for us for now, and not to mention Luna loves it too since there's lots of wildlife and room for her to run!
This is the day that we got our sweet puppy Luna. She truly is the light of our lives, and our world basically revolves around her! Jacob wasn't so sure about her at first, as he was never really a pet person, but if you saw them now they are joined at the hip 24/7. She is a spoiled little girl, and probably has more toys than some kids! She loves to play outside, and I think she would live outside if she had the chance. I don't know what we would do without her, and we think she is the best little dog you'll ever meet (we are pretty biased though ☺ ).
Jacob booked a trip to Hawaii and surprised me with plans to go skydiving (something we had both always wanted to do). We arrived in Hawaii on a Saturday, and had the reservations to go skydiving on Monday. The day finally came and we were both so excited! It was finally our turn to get suited up and get a mini training on what to do when we jumped from the plane. We got all of our gear on and started walking to the plane, and before I knew it we were 15,000 feet above the ground. The trip down was exhilarating and indescribable, and when I finally got to the bottom Jacob ran over to hug me. Next thing I knew he was on one knee and asked me to marry him! Truly the best day of my life!
