I was moving into an apartment close to The University of Texas- Pan American (now known as UTRGV) in Edinburg, Texas. I knock on the door because at the time I didn't have a key and my new roommate opened the door. I was surprised to find Abraham inside the apartment carrying a book that he was there to borrow. We introduced ourselves to each other. That day I drove back home to Rio Grande City, where I soon received a friend request on Facebook from an "Abraham Sanchez" I accepted it and he sent me a message … and that is what began the beautiful friendship that has lead us here.. Abraham and I had our moments, laugh attacks and fights as friends, but then there came a day where maybe taking a shot at something more serious could become something beautiful and so we did. After watching Fast and Furious 7 we went to end the date with dinner at Chili's in Edinburg and that is where we decided to make our relationship official and see where the road would takes us, now we are here...

It happened in Kingsville, Texas after I received my Masters Degree in Special Education from Texas A&M Kingsville. We were taking pictures (as all graduates due after the ceremony) and after I took pictures with my family it was his turn to take a picture with me. We took one shot and I was about to move to the other side when we got hit by a gush of wind and he got down on one knee IN FRONT OF EVERYONE and all I remember was him saying "I know this is a long time coming..." and after that I think I blacked out because all I remember after that, was him saying "Is that a yes?" and putting the ring on my finger.. I honestly couldn't believe it.
