Taxim
Taxim is pretty much next door to Revel Room, has a great rooftop and indoor seating, and delish Greek and Mediterranean apps and mains, and wines - good for vegetarian/vegan/and meats. We went here for Christmas and drank a lot of the wine and I still remember the food was good.
Big Star
Big Star has the best margaritas in West Town, and is right around the corner from Revel Room. Also great patio and pretty quick! Blue Line Lounge across the street is also great for martinis if you want a taco and a 'tini (new combo).
Kama - Wicker Park
Inventive Indian food! In a fancy setting, and some fusion going on. They have Ravioli alla Makhani aka Vodka Sauce - must try. Potatoes - maybe try, they need raita. Dal - good to go and eat the next day. Tikka masala - solid, good consistency. Note: menu is slightly different in restaurant than online.
Paradise Park | Pizza & Patio
Very fun patio and outdoor space - good for bar food and casual gathering, especially during the day. Do get the lemonade alcohol drink in the plastic cup, you will be happy. If you do not like loud places, I would not come here. But get excited for the wedding!
Piece Pizzeria and Brewery
New Haven style pizza (not sure what that means but it's really good - tavern ish and not deep dish) - very fun brewery situation. Does not have ranch.
Beatrix
A good all around pick, lots of healthy but good options, pleasant vibes.
The Publican
The chef here beat Bobby Flay.
Bar La Rue
This place is so cute and French - and like France, sometimes the servers are rude. (No one has ever been rude to me in France).
Aba
Aba is also really pretty and really good food - great dips. We looked at getting married here but the wedding area was very dark. No plants. Max's parents love the sunchokes.
Green Street Smoked Meats
Pretty easy to get into and excellent pickles. Fairly fine for vegetarians if you like sides. Great for non-vegetarians.

Architecture Tours
Architecture tours on the river! A wonderful way to spend Saturday day. We like Wendella the best, but all of the options are good.
The Museum Campus
Chicago has a plethora of world-class museums to enjoy, so go enjoy them!
Chicago Riverwalk
While the river may be slightly brown, the walk along its banks is a wonderful Saturday activity.
