It’s Christmas time 2020 mask on for Covid sake … We met at the post office from where Sonja lives… trying to get a package to my mother before Christmas that was going to Detroit, the staff though it was very busy decided to chat me ( Sonja) up about living in Detroit, I did see Nolan enter the post office but didn’t realize he heard the conversation or was paying attention to it … when I came out of the post office Nolan was sitting in his car and he asked “did you just move here from Detroit ?” I chuckled cause I’ve been here since 1987 told him “nooo” Which led to a conversation. I gave Nolan my business card and Christmas came and went News Years day came and went …two plus weeks after we met Nolan called I still have the voicemail . We decided since Covid we hadn’t been out so we’d go bowling the more we talked The more we found we enjoyed doing the same things But there’s one particular outing that was a game changer… and that’s when we went skating, that night we fell literally laughed and decided to be exclusive… We got to see each in all 4 season By fall Nolan had gotten us some AARP cards and said he wasn’t sure which last name to give mine, see his Sir name is my maiden name . And I’m confused about what he was saying he added “I was hoping that it would change “ yep he was hinting at marriage October 2021 We starting talking marriage …. And here we are
