Our Story This is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, endurance, and love that stood the test of time. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 Our story began not by chance, but through a vision God placed on someone else’s heart. Long before we ever met, God was already aligning our paths and preparing our hearts for one another. When we came together, there was an immediate sense of peace and confirmation. What started as simple conversation quickly felt intentional. We moved forward prayerfully, trusting God’s timing and allowing Him to guide our steps. Over the past twelve years, we have been through a lot together. We have walked through different seasons, faced challenges, grown individually and together, and learned what true commitment really looks like. It took patience, endurance, and faith to keep going, and God remained faithful to us through every stage of the journey. Time and time again, God showed Himself faithful, carrying us through moments of uncertainty and reminding us that what He starts, He is faithful to complete. Our relationship has been strengthened by prayer, honest conversations, grace, and a shared desire to keep God at the center. We learned that love is not just about feelings, but about perseverance, forgiveness, and choosing one another daily, even when it is hard. John’s steady leadership and calm strength balance beautifully with Sonja’s nurturing spirit and unwavering faith. Together, we discovered that what we share is more than love. It is partnership, purpose, and promise. When John asked Sonja to marry him, it was a beautiful confirmation of what God had already spoken over our lives. A reminder that endurance produces fruit and that God’s timing is always perfect. Today, we stand together grateful for the vision, the years, and the faithfulness of God that brought us here.
