Wedding Party

David and Sonia Trevizo

Bride’s Parents

The foundation that made Sonia who she is today.

Walt and Minerva McClurkin

Groom’s Parents

Some call them Ron's longest-tenured roommates; others call them the parental units... No need to split hairs with this one. Minerva always stated that Ron was found next to a dumpster, and once they saw his million-dollar smile, they couldn't let him go. It has been recently discovered that the story was fabricated. No matter what the real story is, it can be said that they made Ron the man he is today.

Adam and Kristin Boyle

Padrinos de Velacion

Padrinos de Velacion in a Hispanic Wedding are a married couple symbolizing a promise of mutual trust and support that the bride and groom admire and can turn to for guidance. Ron and Adam have known each other for 27 years, maybe more who knows? They went to high school and college together and finally became roommates when they moved back to Yakima. From that point, they continued to do epic stuff until Kristin disrupted their bachelor pad lifestyle roughly nine years ago. It was probably for the best because two grown men living together in their late 20s is very suspect. Haha, but in all seriousness, Kristin has been great, and the love that Adam and Kristin share is one that Sonia and Ron want to replicate. The Boyle's are just like family, minus the family resemblance.

Felix and Leticia Medina

Padrinos de Lazo

The Lazo is a visual representation of the everlasting and unbreakable bond between the bride and groom. Similar to the bond between Leticia and Sonia, they may as well be sisters. Growing up together they always dreamed of living on their own and breaking all the rules. The plan was set for April of 2012, but then Felix happened. About 4 years later Sonia got her roommate revenge and has been living with them off and on since. Haha! The Medina’s have shown their love and support to Chamacona in more than one way, this day wouldn’t be complete without them. Sin el amor y apoyo de los Medina, este día no sería el mismo y la novia estaría sin peinar.

Jon and Jessica Fulcher

Padrinos de Arras

Arras are a Hispanic Wedding tradition symbolizing a promise of mutual trust and support. These two have shared their love and support (to include hiking back up a mountain and all over downtown Seattle on Trevizo recovery missions) for over 13 years. Only the best of friends do some of the things the Fulcher’s have done for Trevizo (seriously ask about the time she forgot her phone on a hiking trip) The Fulcher’s love for adventure and true partnership has always been something Trevizo admires and one of the many reasons she asked that they share in the prosperity of her marriage with Ron.

Markus McClurkin

Groomsman / Backup Flower Boy

Ron picked Markus to be his groomsman not only because he is Ron's younger brother, but because he is truly his best friend. Even though they are separated in age by ten years, they share many of the same interests and hobbies, which allowed them to become very close. Where they differ is Mark is the guy you’ll never find via social media due to his limited footprint. His footprint is so squeaky clean that he may be a strong presidential candidate in a few years. Markus loves to debate about anything and everything, so be sure to find him on the wedding day if you’re up for a good conversation, that’s if you can keep up!

Kajsa Goudjil

Bridesmaid

She met the bride in French class at Boise State and decided she’d be her friend. 13 years later, their friendship has been filled with random weekend road trips to Mexico, sneaking into LEGO Land, wine, baking, afternoon pancakes, wine tasting tours, wine and Criminal Minds nights...Did we mention wine? During the last years BR (Before Ron) Kajsa and Sonia were each others plus one and had great plans of living an adventurous life together because, who needs boys. Until the right boys come along and they fell in love. Luckily it was around the same time. Now look at them both, all grown up and getting married but not without a little help from each other.

Dusty Antonio

Groomsman

Dusty is Ron's cousin, but you may have heard Ron call Dusty Uncle Dusty. In Filipino relation, Dusty is considered Ron's Uncle, but they're the same age and we're in 'Merica! Ron and Dusty will argue with each other about anything and everything, but if anyone tries to step in to take either one's side, they better be ready for a right hook from Ron or a left jab from Dusty. Dusty has always had Ron's back, and a time which stands out was when they were ten years old at a baseball camp. Ron may have started an inappropriate mini-riot where he yelled at some college girls to flash his team. When they declined, the team started chanting Milk Duds. Ron already on the verge of being sent home for something stupid he did earlier in the week, Dusty said he was the one that started the chant.

Nicole Santiago

Bridesmaid

From collage roommates to cross country road trips to the Latin Grammys. A friendship comprised of a Corazón Mexicano y una alma Boricua. 12 years of friendship has brought many laughs, countless awkward/embarrassing situations, (Training for this moment just so she could hold Sonia’s dress while she pees) a few tears and an extended familia. Your best friends really are the family you choose. After a trip to Puerto Rico (and learning that tacos are not just something to eat and Puerto Ricans usan chancletas no chanclas) Sonia became parte de la familia and better known as Emilio. Over the years they’ve been each other’s confidant and shoulder to lean on. Es de ley que Nicole forme parte de este día tan especial.

Jared McEwen

Groomsman

Ron and J-Mac (Jared) have been friends for over 26 years. J-Mac is that friend that Ron’s mom always thought was the reason Ron would get in trouble. That’s was far from the truth. They became friends when they were trying to beat each other out for the starting shortstop position on their Little League all-star team. It was a love for 90s R&B and boyband music that strengthened their friendship. The stories of our teams watching Clueless and bumping Sunday Night Slow Jams before every game are true. And funny enough, we always won. They are two-of-a-kind when it comes to most things music or pop culture. If Boyz to Men or N'sync comes up in conversation with these two, be prepared for a long conversation. Ron and J-Mac are like Lennon & McCartney, or Starsky & Hutch.

Diana Alvarez

Madrina de anillos

She introduced the happy couple so she gets the honor of making sure our rings make it to the ceremony. She insisted they meet for over a year! So technically this is all her fault. Ella presentó a la pareja (la culpable de todo esto), y por eso le damos el gran honor de presentarnos este símbolo de devoción.

Shawn Thompson

Groomsman

Ron has known Shawn almost as long as he's known Adam. Actually, Shawn might be Ron's longest-running friendship. Ron and Shawn met when Ron was nine years old, and then Shawn left his baseball team the day after they met. That was crap, SHAWN! From that point, Ron was left with a bunch of scrubs to play with... As you can tell, Ron is still pissed about this! Shawn has been there for Ron in various capacities. Among them include an epic college recruiting trip to CWU where he had Ron feeling like Jesus Shuttlesworth in He Got Game, and a random road trip from Ellensburg, Washington to Rosarito Beach, Mexico where Shawn saved Ron from a transgender stripper.

Crystal Ballesteros

Bridesmaid

Crystal and Sonia met while working at AMR. From office buddies to happy hour friends to work besties they soon decided they were probably meant to be sisters (one can never have too many sisters). They were soon livin’ la vida loca and painting the town red. In 2015 Sonia was on a mission to buy her dream car and enlisted Crystal to help. After a week of test driving Fiats (and the salesman thinking they were a couple) Sonia found the JLo car look alike she always wanted. When Sonia left AMR Crystal was obviously devastated but over the last 5 years they have remained close. Although they might not be livin’ la vida loca anymore a girl still needs her sister.

Chris Keller

Groomsman

Ron and Keller (Chris) met because Keller is the cousin of one of Ron's best girlfriends. Ron and Keller ended up being college roommates all four years of college and then two years after college. They joked that it was great they lived in Washington because if they lived in Montana, Colorado, District of Columbia, and a few other states, they’d be married due to common law. Lucky, Keller married his wife Erica, so it broke the streak of consecutive years of living together, and no one has to worry about any confusion. Sidenote, Ron, was the officiant at Keller's wedding.

April Howard

Madrina de Brindis

April met Trevizo at BSU back in 2006. It was move in day at the dorms and April had a million black boxes outside her door. Fate brought both of their dads together at a residence hall ice cream social where the two bonded over construction and their perfect daughters. The dads decided their girls had to meet and boom! Magic. (Fathers do know best, at least these two did) Trevizo’s very first college memory brought to you by the Rumors. Roommates both on campus and after college April was a huge part of many important milestones. The good, the bad, some ugly. That is why she was asked to share a toast in honor of this newest milestone. We’re sure she’ll have her fair share of Trevizo moments to share.

Derrick Peters

Groomsman

Ron met Derrick during their freshman year of college at Central Washington University. They lived in different dorms, but Derrick's outgoing personality and unique sense of humor allowed him to become pretty good friends with everyone and stood out to Ron. Derrick ended up living next to Ron in their sophomore year. Derrick would frequent Ron's place because they were teammates in a drinking game called caps. This game allowed them to build a bond. Once they graduated, Derrick and Ron became co-workers at HSBC, and they ended up becoming even closer friends than they were in college. To this day, Ron and Derrick have leaned on each other for personal, career, and business advice.

Olga Ruiz

Bridesmaid

Olga aka Hunny Bunny is the bride's cousin and make up guru. Baking parties and sleep overs were common when they were little. Olga's cooking skills soon surpassed Sonia's Easy Bake oven skills and was teaching Sonia how to make enchiladas when she was 6. (This was mostly because Olga couldn't reach things) Olga lived with Sonia for a couple of summers when she was a teen and was the main reason Sonia didn't starve. It's too bad she didn't actually learn how to cook during that time. Their first summer together was probably the hardest but definitely the most memorable. All of Sonia’s wedding looks have been brought to you by Hunny Bunny’s makeup magic.

Colin Cook

Groomsman

The friendship Ron and Colin have is a prime example of how a case of beer can heal all wounds. The night they met in college, Colin was thrown out of Ron's house not once, but twice that night for trying to steal beers. When I say thrown out, think Jazzy Jeff in The Fresh Prince of Bellaire. A few days later, a mutual friend came and told Ron that Colin was sorry and wants to make it up by buying Ron a case of beer. Ron said he would only accept if Colin would drink the beers with him. They’ve been friends ever since and have traveled together to various places around the world: road trip to SF, Euro trip where we flew to London, then to Paris, then took a bullet train from Paris to Amsterdam, riding buses to see all of Thailand, and finally visiting Ron in Boston for St. Paddy's Day.

Aria Rosemarie Alvarez

Flower Girl

Ron’s Niece: Though she was a preschool dropout, she has since turned her life around. This little girl is the class president of her 2nd-grade class and reads at a 6th-grade level. She says she wants to be a school teacher (which is fantastic!), but with her inquisitiveness, we see her as a journalist or investigative reporter. If you know anything about Jojo Siwa, LOL, Roblox, or can play the piano; you’ll have a new best friend.

Daisy Verenice Ruiz

Flower Girl

Sonia’s Niece: Future Diva in the making. This girl is a triple threat: sing, dance, and act. Ask her, she’ll show you. Recently, turned down Seattle Talent School of Stardom for bigger and better things. Be on the look out for this girl, and get her autograph while you still can.

Hector Gerardo Jimenez

Man of Honor

Padrino de honor y hermano de la novia. Sonia came into Hector’s life when he was about 11 years old and was obviously the best thing that could have ever happened to him. She’s the best little sister anyone could ever ask for. (Seriously ask her other siblings) She could have been a tad annoying (small tiny chance) when she was little but they both grew up to be great friends. In high school she asked if she got accepted into a school in Italy if he’d go visit her. He said, “yeah if you get in.” Challenge accepted! Two years later Lui è andato a Italia! Fue una gran aventura viajar por Italia juntos e mangiare tutto la pizza! They’re both Italian food snobs now but when you know, you know.
