Sonia and I met about four years ago in nursing school. We became friends after trauma bonding from nursing and discussing our love for Dungeons and Dragons. I'm excited to see Sonia and Mike get married they complement each other! They are always very romantic and care for each other deeply. I first met Michael on that faithful day of November 27th, 2017. We were being “admitted” into the police academy by Chief Milazzo, and we were all filled with anxious excitement, except for one person, Michael Halecki. Halecki does not remember most of Chief Milazzo’s speech, as he was asleep, standing up for 99% of it. When I heard someone was sleeping during the chief’s speech on the first day of the academy by drill instructors, I was dumbfounded and couldn’t imagine anyone doing that. I later befriended the fella and blamed the sleeping on Recruit Rivieccio, harnessing a deep-rooted friendship that will last forever. Through thick and thin, and a lot of guidance with the academy notebooks, we went from strangers, to acquaintances, to friends and now to brothers. Michael is my best friend, and he has been there for me through every event in my adult life. I always knew this day would come, and it’s time for me to give him away to his wonderful fiancé, Sonia, who has always treated me like family. We aren’t 20-year-old young bucks anymore! It is time for me to be there for him on his most special day! I'm so very proud of the man he has become and how he’s remained so close to me even when we’re thousands of miles apart

Mike and I met back in 4th grade at St Columbanus. Leaving the last elementary school i was previously at (St Elizabeth Ann Seton) was a blessing in disguise as I met Mike who little did i know at the time would be a life long friend. The memories at the Peekskill Yacht Club and the shenanigans at school are some of the many instances that brought us so close early on and here we are today retelling the same stories with laughter while making new ones. Me and Mike have known each other since September 2006. It’s not everyday that you’ll find two people that continue to have the respect they do for each other for that long. We are only growing from here! I’m so incredibly happy for Sonia and Mike as they start this new chapter together. Their love, laughter, and unwavering support for each other are truly inspiring. I have no doubt that their journey ahead will be filled with joy, adventure, and countless beautiful moments. Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness!

Our friendship felt effortless from the start, and over the years, we’ve built countless memories that have only strengthened our bond. Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky to have met him. Seventeen years later, I know that friendships like ours are rare, a true privilege to have and to hold onto for so long. Mike isn’t just a friend, he’s like a brother to me. I cherish every moment we’ve shared, and today, I couldn’t be happier to celebrate this new chapter of his life. Seeing Mike and Sonia together is pure joy, they are truly perfect for each other.
