Now, this is a story all about how our lives got flipped-turned upside down If you'd like to take a minute and scroll right here We'll tell you all about the story of how we got to our wedding year… It started in a pub in Kew where we first met Our eyes locked and we knew we were set Dinner and drinks and a lot of talking, that's how it began Few holidays down the road where we topped up our tan A year went by with so many adventures had From a visit to the Tate, to long walks in the sand Discovering our favourite places to eat From munching wings and burgers to grabbing theatre seats A surprise lockdown car boot date, which won our hearts The sparks were flowing, there was no need for a jumpstart Lockdown was over and we were pleased to meet family and friends In hopes that this love story would never ever end Four years flew by and off on a festive adventure to New York Sitting in first class and eating delicious food with a fancy knife and fork Walking across Brooklyn Bridge Little did she know I was going to ask four of the biggest words And I wasn't planning on hearing a “no!” Whilst gazing away at the New York City sunrise I got down on one knee to her surprise Hands on her face, stunned to tears She turned to me and said yes to many more years... Now as we sit here writing this rhyme We’re thinking – “let's hurry up we need to get these invites out on time!” Thinking of our future, and what plans we have ahead We like to dream big and cannot wait to be Wed Creating more memories and saying yes to all adventures Looking forward to growing old together and having matching dentures Deciding to tie the knot is something we don’t take lightly But since meeting each other our lives have shone more brightly We make each other laugh, even in moments of darkness Here, here to becoming life partners! We cannot wait for the big day to celebrate with you all And of course, we cannot forget those who are no longer with us Those who we can’t just call We know they are always here in spirit, especially on this day Once again, we look forward to seeing you all in May!
