When should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that you submit your RSVP no later than September 14th!

What time should we arrive for the Wedding?
Answer
We highly encourage arriving on time! Cocktail hour will be starting at 3:00 pm and ending at 4:00 pm (SHARP). The ceremony will follow directly after, and we’ll end the evening with an indoor reception!

What is the Mehndi dress code?
Answer
Mehndi ceremonies are all about vibrant colors! Popular outfits typically worn by women are ghararas or anarkalis, and men will usually wear a traditional kurta shalwar. For western wear, think cocktail-evening attire. All of that aside, we want you to feel your best in whatever you choose to wear, so please do not feel limited. Just be warned, there will be LOTS of dancing!

What is the Wedding dress code?
Answer
We don’t have any specific requirements, just that you feel your best and wear your nicest dancing shoes! For our ladies, we recommend gowns/lehengas and for our men we would love to see you in your best suits/sherwanis! Our color palette is neutral/fall theme, but feel free to wear any color your heart desires! We do kindly ask that you refrain from wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, & creams! We would also like to mention cocktail hour and our ceremony will be taking place outdoors (weather permitting), and October could potentially get a bit cooler (avg. 55°F, 13°C).

Will there be parking?
Answer
Yes! Both venues have private parking lots with ample space! Lake Chateau (wedding venue) has parking lots on either side of the building. We recommend parking on the right side (when facing the building) as there will be a direct pathway leading to the outdoor cocktail/ceremony area!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Traditionally in Pakistani weddings, we decorate our hands with intricate henna designs. On Thursday, October 24th, a henna artist will be applying henna for anyone that would like to attend at Sonia’s family home in East Windsor, NJ. It is more of a chill night, so come in whatever you are most comfortable in (yes, that even means sweatpants)! We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty, as henna can and will stain anything and everything it touches!

Can I bring additional guests/plus one?
Answer
Alhamdulillah we are blessed with a very big bunch, therefore, with the number of guests and the venue capacity, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate additional guests. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
