Sonia and John met one fateful day about a decade ago when they both volunteered for a Saint Paul's Fellowship trip to the Holy Nativity Convent in Brookline, MA. They were both tasked with landscaping and, after naming each other's saws (John's was named Rosie and Sonia's was Frank) they spent the rainy afternoon sawing down trees. After the trip, Sonia and John fell out of touch, with the exception of seeing each other at St. Xenia Camp every August. Fast forward to Fall 2018, when they reconnected as John came up to Massachusetts to visit mutual friends. They spend the weekend enjoying friends, playing board games, and visiting museums. On the last day of his visit, John mustered the courage to ask Sonia if he could get to know her better. After tons of phone calls, road trips, visits, and many hours of laughter, John proposed to Sonia on February 24, 2019. She agreed with the most enthusiasm humanly possible. We are so looking forward to writing the rest of our story together - and to have each and every one of you in it!
