It's best to arrive about 30 minutes before opening to avoid long lines. We love the brisket, pork ribs, and kimchi side.
A great outdoor area for well known food trucks and drinks. Family/Pet friendly. We really like Leroy and Lewis BBQ truck and their frozen boozy coffee.
One of our favorite restaurants here in Austin. You can expect creative dishes based on local Texas ingredients.
Situated in the Loren Hotel, the Nido Rooftop has excellent views of downtown. Be sure to book a reservation for their patio to watch the sunset. Its not reallty worth it to eat inside, enjoy that view!
Its quite a long walk to do the whole thing, but you can enter at many different points. We like to walk with Lucy on the boardwalk area.
Yeehaw! Check out a true Texas Honky-Tonk! Make sure you know how to do the Texas Two Step before coming or arrive during their free lesson.
Walk down South Congress and enjoy the shops, people watching, and restaurants. Make sure to check out Allens Boots and other local shops.
Arrive early, there can be quite long lines for rentals.
Rockin South Austin Since 1955! If you want to listen to some live music, this is a great place to discover something new. There are usually two shows per night, so try to arrive towards the early side of either time. There are plenty of places nearby to go before/after too.
Family friendly + spacious brewery. You can often catch live music on their outdoor stage. They have tons of patio tables and food trucks.
Enjoy some of the classic Migas Breakfast Tacos
Make sure you get that reservation early! Enjoy a southern style meal under patio lights with surrounded by peacocks.
Award winning Austin BBQ. This place is also famous for long lines, so unless you are willing to wait hours, this is an order in advance kind of spot. If you preorder, you can completely skip the line and get the same BBQ, the catch is you need to order a 5 pound minimum. This can work for groups.
