But from the moment I met Sonam, all that careful calculation started to shift. She didn’t just change the equation — she rewrote the whole formula and on the other hand like to remind her that hiking uphill is the fun part (debatable, apparently). Planning this wedding has been a whirlwind (yes, there are spreadsheets — many), but more than anything, it’s been a reminder of what we’re here to celebrate: laughter, commitment, and a love that keeps growing deeper with every adventure and challenge. We’re so grateful to be surrounded by the people who’ve shaped us and supported us. Thank you for being here — we can’t wait to raise a glass, dance it out, and start this next chapter with all of you by our side.

I’m super excited because I get to be the Bible Bearer at the wedding — which is a really important job. I can’t wait to walk down the aisle, see Aunty Sonam in her dress, and celebrate with everyone (and maybe show off some dance moves too)! 🦖🤖✨

Hiya, I’m Jay - Karl’s co-conspirator and bestie for all wild and crazy activities. Designing aircraft engines pays my bills whereas being a sport lover, movie buff and cooking are my stress busters. Above all, I’m also known as the “Game Master”. I’ve known Karl for a long time with our professional paths crossing at AAA, evolved into a very close friendship. Our famous “Tim Hortons” breaks and Friday pub nights got us through all the craziness at work, while the game nights & cottage trips brought us a lot closer. During a “Harry Potter” themed Escape game evening, Karl introduced Sonam. Since then, I’ve watched their love ❤️ blossom with time and their bond growing stronger with each passing day. Karl and Sonam are two peas from the same pod - meant to be together. Cheers to the beautiful wedding of this wonderful couple and wishing them a adventurous future 🍻

I first met Sonam on a trip to Niagara Falls in 2018, but it was the Québec cottage that truly sealed our friendship. Since then, we’ve shared milestones — birthdays, gender reveals, cottage getaways — and I’m so honored to be by her side today. One of my favorite memories is our 2018 holiday PJ party — carefree, ridiculous, and full of laughs. I adore Sonam’s sense of style (and her cupcakes — as tasty as they are pretty!). I’m Shawn, Karl’s childhood friend. By day, I’m a Strategy & Planning Manager in consumer goods, who fuels big ideas with great coffee. Off the clock, you’ll find me on the tennis court, out on the lake kayaking or swimming - and on quieter days, lost in a good book. I’ve known Karl since elementary school, back when he was —and still is—the subtly mischievous sidekick in our boys’ gang - the ‘Wolfpack.’ From childhood adventures in Dubai to our youth in Canada, we’ve shared a lifetime of memories. I’m thrilled to be part of their wedding party. It’s a joy to celebrate a couple who’ve grown together in love, and I wish them all the happiness in the adventures ahead.
