Flight
The San Diego airport (SAN) is about an hour from Temecula, as is Ontario International Airport (ONT). These are probably the best options, but there is LAX as well (1.5 hours away). If you fly into San Diego and decide not to rent a car, I highly recommend Temecula Air Shuttle (https://www.temeculaairshuttle.com). They also have shuttles from LAX but they are more expensive.
