Traverse City is home to Cherry Capital Airport, a convenient small airport with a handful of direct flights from major cities. You can also connect easily through Detroit or Chicago. Keep in mind that flights can be pricey during the summer travel season, so it’s a good idea to book early! Ubers in Traverse City can be a bit tough, so we recommend scheduling a taxi ahead of time or renting a car!

A great airport option with several nonstop flights from the east coast. You can easily drive from Grand Rapids to Traverse City in a little over 2 hours! You will pass Kayla's hometown along the way... Big Rapids!

The drive from Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) to Traverse City takes about 4.5 hours and offers a chance to explore some of Michigan’s highlights. Consider stopping at the University of Michigan’s campus in Ann Arbor, followed by a visit to East Lansing to see Michigan State University, Kayla’s alma mater!
