Matt and Emma met the way a lot of people meet, at a party. She was leaning in a doorway, fidgeting with a drink in her hand, when Matt saw the blue arrow tattooed on her inner arm. When he asked her about it they started talking about hunting, and hiking, and their love for the Trinity Alps. Matt asked if they could go hiking over the summer, so Emma gave him her number and they were inseparable ever since!

On June 13, 2012, Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants pitched the 22nd perfect game in Major League Baseball history and the first in Giants' franchise history. Matt Thibeau missed it entirely because he was on his first real date with Emma Harris. We've always counted this as our anniversary, mostly because all Matt had to do to remember the date was to look up "Matt Cain's Perfect Game"

Six and a half years later we decided we might as well make it legally binding!
