Brooke and Pat’s story began in 2017, when two high schoolers found something unexpected and meaningful in each other. One evening after a party, Pat (17) offered to drive Brooke (16) home — a charming move — but her parents weren’t quite ready for that step. Brooke’s dad rushed over to pick her up himself, unknowingly kicking off what would become a lifelong love story. As the years passed, their bond only deepened. From weekend trips to Brooklyn and New Jersey, and sun-soaked vacations in Punta Cana and California, to countless Disney adventures, Brooke and Pat built a relationship filled with laughter, love, and memories. Their families became incredibly close, sharing holidays, milestones, and all the little in-between moments. Together, they celebrated triumphs and supported one another through the heartbreaks of losing loved ones — always side by side, growing stronger through it all. Brooke earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology while Pat embarked on one of his biggest challenges yet: the New York State Police Academy. For seven long months, they faced the unfamiliar territory of long distance, with only one phone call a week — a true test of patience, trust, and love. Toward the end of his academy training, on a quiet weekend home, Pat asked Brooke the question they’d both always known was coming. Through happy tears, she said yes. Now, surrounded by the love of their families and friends, they’re getting ready to begin their next adventure — hand in hand, with a whole lot of gratitude, and hearts full of love.
