We Are Getting Married

We met at a donut fundraiser at school during the spring semester, we were introduced to each other by a friend of ours. I was busy getting everything organized, I just glance at him and said "Hi I'm Tashana" I didn't want to be that type of girl, so I played hard to get instead. Low and behold my future husband is standing right in front of me, and I had no clue. Just standing there looking at her pack away the empty donut boxes neatly, saying to myself "she's so beautiful, I like her smile, I like the way her hair falls on her shoulder, but I feel like I'm not her type and she probably won't go out with me." I started doubting myself. She made me wait four months before dating, on April 21st 2017 is when we started dating. I'll say it was worth it because when that decision was made to finally be together, there was no doubt in either of our minds that this love we have would ever fade.

It was Spring March 16th, 2019, we went on a tour to one of my favorite beaches in Guyana he knows that because I always talked about it. While on the beach he insisted on me looking out to the beautiful ocean waves so he can take a picture, that's where he caught me. Solo knows how much I love taking pictures, while I'm there looking out at the beautiful sea thinking he's taking pictures, I then turn around to ask if he got it and there he was on one knee with a beautiful black petite box that held a sliver diamond ring inside, I was astonished, I had no words, I was clueless. He asked the question "will you marry me?" I turn around and immediately started crying I was in total shock, I turned back and he was still there in the same position I left him. I never thought this day would have come and I never thought it'll be in my favorite place, I repeatedly say the word "yes yes yes yes yes" in my head till it finally came out my mouth that's when I screamed "yes! I will marry you." I stretch out my hand as he slides on that beautiful ring on my finger, everyone around me was in "aww moment" I still can't believe I'm marrying the man of my dreams, it's like a fairytale.
