Cute riverfront town on the Occoquan river. lots of shops, restaurants and a ghost tour!! Super fun cute town!!
Occoquan Regional Park
Can rent kayaks or boats or go on a nice walk!! Includes a cafe (Brickmaker cafe) for nice waterfront views!!
DC Monuments
Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, MLK Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial and so many more!! You will def get your steps in walking around. Would recommend stopping at the free museums for water, bathrooms, and AC. DO NOT get ice cream from the food trucks, they are scammers.
DC Museums!!
All Smithsonian museums are free in DC (including the zoo to see the Giant Pandas). Our favs are the Hirshorn art museum, the US History museum for the pop culture section, the Natural History Museum (biggest diamond!!), and the Botanical Garden!!
Great Falls Park
Super cool waterfall and walking area!! It is called Great Falls for a reason!!
Theodore Roosevelt Island
Cool island to walk around, pretty shaded and a big parking lot!
Georgetown
Nice town to walk around in, lots of shops, eateries, coffee shops. Lots of outdoor shopping. Georgetown cupcakes, Baked and Wired, and Call Your Mother are the most popular spots!!
Mount Vernon
George Washington's estate. Can walk the grounds and go inside his house. Very beautiful on the Potomac River. Nice to walk around, can speak to reenactors, and learn some history!
