Couldn't pass up the opportunity to get decked out downtown! Tuxes and gowns are preferred but suits, jumpsuits, and cocktail dresses are also great options. You do you and chances are you won't be over or underdressed. Lynnette is probably going to wear a long white dress, so maybe don't do that 😉
We have Committee to ourselves all night! Aaron can't sit still, and Lynnette didn't have the patience to create a seating chart, so we'll have seats and dinner - but not a traditional seated dinner. Passed bites and food stations will be available throughout the evening so you can eat what you want, when you want. There will be myriad options and you will not leave hungry (or thirsty)! There's plenty of lounge seating and tables for when you want to sit and snack or just rest your dancing feet. We're planning delicious options for carnivores, pescatarians, vegetarians, vegans, and the gluten free, but please let us know of your dietary restrictions or preferences when you RSVP (there's a specific question where you can give us the deets!).
Both the ceremony and the reception are indoors. Committee does have a patio, so if the weather cooperates 🙏 there will be a bar, tables, and space outside. New England weather is unpredictable and the Seaport is windy, so we suggest bringing something to keep you warm.
The ceremony venue and the reception venue are three minutes away from each other by foot, so we don't have plans for shuttles between those two events. If you're staying at the Envoy, it's around the corner from both venues, and most Seaport hotels are very close walking distance as well. In and around Boston, Ubers, Lyfts, and taxis are plentiful; however, street parking is not. If you are planning to drive, there's a paid lot at 75 Northern Ave, which is a close walk to the church and across the street from Committee, and there are other lots and garages close by as well.
With the exception of our QT flower girl and ring bearer, our wedding day is adults only. Thanks for understanding, and we hope it gives the parents in attendance a chance to enjoy a fun night out!
You can RSVP right on this website, and we'd appreciate your response by August 30!
We're excited to share these moments with you, so feel free to take and post pictures (#sohappytogeller)! Our Lady of Good Voyage doesn't allow flash photography, so please be mindful. And in the spirit of a good voyage, please keep your arms and cameras in the vessel - aka the pews - so our photographer's aisle view isn't obstructed. If you want to live in the moment, we'll happily share the gallery link from our photographer after the wedding!
😭 😭 😭
Fun (gross?) fact: a clam chowder with hot sauce paired with a Shirley Temple is Lynnette's go-to hangover meal, and her all time favorite is from Legal's (will we all see each other there Sunday morning? jk jk). There are so many other great options too: James Hook, Saltie Girl, Sail Loft. Tourist traps worth the wait and the price: Union Oyster House, Ned Devine's, and Neptune Oyster. Go to Barking Crab for a chowder and harbor vibes, but don't go with high expectations for the food otherwise.
